Church was the scene Sept. 5
of the marriages of three
daughters of Mr. and Mrs.
Waybas B. Mealor.
The Rev. Jack Tatum per-
formed the ceremonies, which
united in marriage Miss Lucy
and Mr.
Frances Mealor
Richard Barry Wood, son of
Mr. and Mrs. A. James Wood
of Newnan: Miss Linda Jean
Mealor and Mr. James Leon
Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Dykes C. Smith of Doerun:
and Miss Louise Anita Mealor
and Mr Curtis Harris Collier
Jr.. son of Mr. Curtis H. Col-
lier Sr. of Monroe and the late
Mrs. Dorothy Wicker Collier,
Mrs. Melton Long played.
the nuptial music and accom-
panied Mr. Tip Almond, so-
loist. The songs, "More" and
"Whither Thou Goest" were
sung before the processional
music.
The altar of the church was
decorated with palms outlined
by candelabra. The candles
were lighted by Messrs. Gary
and Alan Wood, brothers of
one of the grooms. In the cen-
ter of the pulpit was a single
large arrangement of gladi-
ola, chrysanthemums and
fern.
The brides' dresses were
Identical floor length gowns,
fashioned of white peau de
soie and chantilly lace. The
fitted bodice had a scooped
neckline and elbow length
sleeves. The traditional train
was attached to the lace cum-
merbuns. The veils worn by
the brides were circles of illu-
sion which fell to the elbow
and were held in place by ti
aras of pearis and sequins.
They carried bouquets
white chrysanthemums.

Cincinnati, Ohio, sister of the
brides, was the matron of
honor for the three brides.

Athens, was maid of honor for
her three sisters They wore
mint green floor length dress-
es of peau de soie. They car-
ried bouquets of white chrys-
anthemums.
Lucy's bridesmaid was Miss
Barbara Massey of Menlo. At-
tending Linda was Mrs. Carey
Almond. the former Miss Car
ol Medlock. Louise's brides-
maid was Miss Helen Evans,
They wore formal gowns of
apricot peau de soie and car-
ried bouquets of white chrys-
anthemums.
Mr. A. J. Wood was best
man for his son. Serving as
best man for Mr. Smith was
his brother Mr. Andy Smith of
Doerun. Mr. David Emory
was best man for Mr. Collier,
Ushers for the occasion in-
cluded Messrs. John Vaughn,
of Birmingham. Ala.. Robert
Wood, of Atlanta, Jerry Smith
of Doerun, Andy Anderson of
Warrenton and Gary and Alan
Wood of Newnan.
Louise entered first on the
arm of her brother-in-law,
Mr. Barney G. Roskopp. She
was followed by Linda with
her brother, Mr. Hershel
Mealor. Last came Lucy who
entered with her father. Mr.

were spoken.
Following the wedding, Mr.
and Mrs. Mealor entertained
at a reception in Fellowship
Hall.
Three identical cakes dec-
orated the brides' table. They
were surrounded by flowers
and foliage. Each cake was
topped with a miniature bride
and groom. The punch table.
was beautifully arranged by
Mrs. J. M. Rhodes.
The bridesbooks were kept
by Mrs. Mary Hall of Dacula,
Miss Ruth Smith of Doerun,
and Miss Mary Jo Crawford
of Athens. Others assisting in
