The proprietor of this celehratfd medicine jug ly
claims font a superiority over all remedies ever oiT.-r

manent cure of Ague and Fever .or Chill* and Fever
whether of short or longstanding. He refers to the
entire Western and Southwestern country to hear him
testimony toiheHutb of the assertion, that in no case
whatever wiil it fail to cure, if the directions are strict
ly followed and ea ried out. In a great many cases a
stng’e dose has neen sufficient for a cure, imd whole
families have teen cored by a single bottle, with a per
fect- restoration of the general health. It is, however,
prudent, and in ever}' case more ce; tun to cure, if its
use is couponed in smaller doses for a week or two af
ter the disease lias been checked, more especially in
difficult and long standing cases. Usually, this medi
cine will not require a y aid to keep the bowels it;

cathartic medicine, alter h iving token three or four
doses of the Tonic, a single dose of BUI.L’i VE JET V

of Smiths at present in Columbus is

that every man insists that his Smith
is the particular Smith mentioned in
the proclamation, and he is going to

right up. The Governor is trying to

Flies. This is the time of year
when common house-flies begin to j
drop in in a friendly way to stay with |
us through the summer. Persons who
may think they have more flies than
tr.ey want are advised to try this plan:
Take some spirits of turpentine, mix
enough powdered rosin to make it
very sticky; than spread it on pure
i chile paper and place in a good light
where Hies are plenty. When they
alight on it (as they naturally do on
all white surfaces, as all house-keepers
know,) the mixture holds them fast by
the legs, and they speedily die; when
fully covered, place the paper in a stove,
and those flies will give no further
trouble. The advantage of this meth
od over others is, that the flies are alto
gether in one place, instead of tumb
ling, dead and dying into everything,
as they do when poisoned. Nor does
this mixture—which is the same, or
nearly the same, as the ‘ Oateh-em-alive
-O"—attract flies from a distance, as
many think poisons do-—Exo.
