The Service Awards recognize those Chamber Executives in Georgia who have achieved sig nificant years of service in the Chamber of Commerce industry. Service includes a combination of executive and/or staff employment time in all Chambers of Com merce. Nominees needed for annual community awards The Ashburn Turner County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the opening of nominations for the 2024 Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, and Farmer of the Year awards. These prestigious honors will be presented during the Annual Chamber Awards Ban quet on Jan. 30 at 6 p.m., at the Turner Co. Elementary School Gym, where we’ll celebrate the individuals and businesses making outstanding contribu tions to our community. Each award seeks to recog nize individuals and businesses that have demonstrated excep tional commitment, innova tion, and positive impact within Turner County: Business of the Year: Open to local businesses showcasing outstanding community serv ice, innovation, and contribu tions to the local economy. Citizen of the Year: Recog nizing residents who have made significant contributions to the community through civic engagement, leadership, and service. Farmer of the Year: Honor ing local farmers who have demonstrated dedication to agricultural advancement, sus tainability, and community in volvement. Graduating seniors pinned Cristal Palma and Noemi Velasco of Ashburn were among the students pinned at the Nov. 7, Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) graduation ceremony. They received degrees in Radiologic Technology. Velasco also received a perfect attendance award. The seniors also pinned some of the junior class, including Chad Wentworth of Ashburn. "We are incredibly proud of each student in the Radiologic Technology Program at Southern Regional Technical College's Moultrie Campus," said Buffie Spencer, Program Chair.
