of Pittsbnrg, Pa., are in the city this
week, wqrking the surrounding country

large dealers in lumber and building

Mr. B. D. Fudge, of Thomasville,
spent Saturday at the Bon Air en route
from Atlanta where he has been on a
visit to his wife. We are glad to learn
that Mrs. Fudge is convalescing rapidly
and will return before long.

The private term of the Climax pubHo
school began Monday with our efficient
teacher, Miss Flora Boyce. We hope
this term will be as successful as the
last one, however, it could not be other
wise, as the patrons and oUldren are
better pleased than ever before.

Mus Pearl May who has been spend
ing the summer in Valdosta with her
cousin, Mrs. W. P. Gowan. has returned
home.
Mr. W. B. Calhoun who has been with
the A. C. L. for several months left
Saturday for Lapine, Ala., where he
goes to accept an ageocy at that point.
Misa Nora Campbell entertained a few
other selected friends last Saturday
evening with a musical, While the even
ing was informal the progiam was one
of the best rendered in Faceville for
some time.
Hon. Ben E. Russell baa begun a
series of articles on the lesources of
the various sections of Decatur coun
ty and which will be published in
the Atlanta Constitution. Mr. Rus
sel’s gifted pen may he trusted to
depict graphically the advantages of
Decatur county over the rest of the
slate. His effort* will prove of
much benefit, and will make inter
esting readiug tor the public.
