Worm Candy which he gave to
his two children according to
directions and both of them ex
pelled many worms.
If you have a child that is
restless at night, picking fat the
nose, dark circles under the
eves, unnatural appetite, grating
the teeth and fever flashes,
these contitions often lead to
convulsions, and frequently death
is the natural result of in-atten-
tion to the symptoms and neg
lect of procurring the proper re-,
medies. Worms will cause con
vulsions, epilepsy, hysteria, St.
Vitus dance, etc. Worms are
the prolific cause of most ills of
child’s life, causing them to be
fretful nervous, pale, puny and
spasmodic. Many remedies used
to fail to cure because they do
not remove the worm nest. The

STEAMER I. G. BRAKE
The Appalachicola Times her
alds the change of Purser Buck
ner from the Callahan Line to
the steamer T. C. Drake, Jr., in
the following manner:
Purser Tom Buckner who has
been identified with the Callahan
steamers for several years in the
capacity of purser, has tendered
his resignation and has taken up
new duties with the Thronateeska
Navigation Company, of wnich
he has long been a prominent
stockholder. This change was
made necessary by the death of
Capt. Buchannan of the Thron
ateeska Navigation Company.
In future Mr. Buckner will be
found steamboating on the upper
Flint. Those people who have
had business dealings with Mr.
Buckner at the various points on
thq Apalachicola river, and more
especially those who knew him
so well in Apalachicola, regret
exceedingly that they no longer
see hjs genial countenance in
\ the Qf (he steamer Calla
han, but nev^WSi they *x- v
tend to him their kindest wishes
for health,, happiness and pros
perity, with the further wish that
he will not desert them entirely.
We hope to see Mr. Buckner
in command of a passenger
steamer flying the waters be-
tween Albany and Apalachicola.
Buckner is the boy to put it over
if any man can do it. N
THE POWER OF WHEELS
Do you know that the wheel is
the connecting link between-pov
erty and wealth, that by it the
world moves and upon it all great
work depends! Take the wheel
from the locomotive, the steam
ship and the steamboat and one
half of $e world’s . industry
would die. Remove it from the
car, the carriage and the factory
and the wealth of the wot Id
would dwindle three fourths

NOTICE TO VOTERS
To the Voters and Citizens of
Decatur County:
Recently the Decatur County
Democratic Executive Com
mittee, in calling and fixing the
date and prescribing the rules of
the coming Democratic Primary,
to be held on the first day of
March, also deemed it wise to
call for a vote, at Said election,
on the much discussed question
as to whether or not the office
of County Treasurer should be
abolished. The rule of the elec
tion provides that each voter
shall vote For or Against the
abolishment of the office.
Believing, as I do, that the
great majority of the voters will
express the over-whelming senti,
ment of the people, as I see it
to abolish the office, and that the
same will be abolished, I have
therefore, decided not to offer
for re-election to the office of
County Treasurer of Decatur
County, at the coming election.
Allow me to take this oppor
tunity to express my sincere
thanks and appreciation to my
many friends who honored me
with their confidence and vote
in electing me to the office for
the presentjterm.
Respectfully,
Lee A. Parker.
