O NE of its most valuable characteristics, for
Tire (and Shoe) purposes, is its CLING
quality—its tenacious grip on smooth and
slippery surfaces.
Through that it gives its maximum. Traction with
a minimum of Friction.
When you put on the Brakes to stop the Car, or
throw in the Clutch to start the Car, the Tires made of
this black “BAREFOOT” Rubber instead of grinding
against the ground for Traction, CLING to it, as your
bare foot would cling to a slippery floor.
That’s ivhy we’ve finally christened it, and trade-
marked it, as “Barefoot” Rubber.
Get a sliver of it, from any Goodrich Branch or
nearest Dealer.
You’ll find it stretch almost as much, and return to
shape almost as instantly, as a pure Rubber band.
Weigh a Goodrich “Barefoot” Tire of any size
against the corresponding size of other makes of Tire,
and you’ll find it many pounds lighter, though many
“Miles” stronger.
Drive it, and you’ll find in Goodrich “Barefoot”
Tires a liveliness, a quick response to power, a tenacity
of traction,—and all this with a Mileage capacity which
will surprise and delight you.
W E developed this “Barefoot Rubber” prim
arily for use in our now famous “Silver-
town Cord” Tire which, last year, showed
such marvellous ENDURANCE on the Race Track, at
over 100 Miles per hour.
But we now make it into Goodrich FABRIC Tires,
•—Goodrich Inner Tubes,—Goodrich Motor-Cycle Tires,
•—Goodrich Truck Tires, — Goodrich Bicycle Tires,—
Goodrich Rubber Boots, Overshoes, Soles and Heels, as
well as into Silvertown Cord Tires.
Because,—in all of these its characteristics of “Cling,
— Spring, — Stretch,—Strength,—and Lightness” are
first requisites.
Now, compare GOODRICH Fair-List prices with
prices you arequoted for same size Tires of other Brands,
that have not the wonderful Resilience and Cling-quality
of this new black “Barefoot” Rubber, which can-be had
in no other Tires than those made by

The remains of Mrs. Hal Morri
son were brought from Chicago,
arriving in Bain bridge on the
noon train Friday April 7th. The
funeral service was held at the
home of her mother, Mrs. Ter
rell, on Shot well Street, at 4
o’clock that afternoon. Rev. H.
H. Shell of the Baptist church
officiated, she being a member of
that cburc.h Mrs. Boen Belcher
very sweetly rendered “In the
Sweet Bye and Bye” at the home
and “Nearer My God to Thee”
at the Oak City cemetery where
the interment was held, making
the occasion even more touching.
Love and respect tor Mrs.
Morrison were manifested by the
presence of a large number of
sorrowing friends and relatives,
as well as elaborate and beauti
ful floral offerings from friends
in Chicago, Atlanta and Bain-
bridge.
The pallbearers were L. F.
Patterson, W. V. Custer, P. D.
Campbell, E. M. Moore, R. R.
Belcher and D. C. Gurley.
Mrs. Morrison is survived by
her husband, Hal Morrison, the
well known artist of Atlanta, and
two sons, Hal Morrison Jr. of
Atlanta and Montford Morrison
of Chicago, with who she and
Mr. Morrison spent the last year,
her mother, Mrs. Henrietta M.
Terrell, three brothers, Thomas,
Robert and William Terrell, two
sisters, Miss Bobbie Terrell and
Mrs. N. T. Pike of Thomasville.
Mrs. Morrison was the daugh
ter of Maj. Robert Terrell and
spent her girlhood days in Bain-
bridge, where she was considered
one of the most beautiful belles.
She spent the most of her married
life in Atlanta and numbered her
friends by the score. She was a
devoted wife, a loving mother
and a true friend.
Dear Lord thou gavest and thou
has taken away.
She has gone from us but not to
stay.
Even now she is not dead but
sleepeth,
And on that beautiful shore a
tender vigil keepeth
For our coming, which may be
on the morrow.
Then our hearts will not know
this sorrow.
Around the throne reunited we
shall be
From all care, sickness and grief
set free.
Dear friends look not earthward,
but heavenward each day,
And Jesus will guide us step by
step along the way
To that eternal city with the
everlasting charm,
Where we’ll join her in glad
Hosannas fearing no harm.
A friend.

The Expression of Many a Kidney
Suffer in Bainbridge.
A stubborn backache is a
cause to suspect kidney trouble.
When the kidneys are inflamed
and swollen, stooping brings a
sharpe twinge in the small of the
back, that almost takes the
breath away. Doan's Kidney
Pills revive sluggish kidneys—
relieve aching backs. Here’s
Bainbridge proof:
Mrs. Walter Harrington, 238
Washington St., says: “I got so
sore and lame across my back,
that I could hardly bend. Every
muscle in my body seemed stiff!
and painful. The kidney secre
tions were sometimes too fre
quent in passage and at other!
times scanty. I also had head- j
aches and dizzy spells. I tock
several medicines, but unsuc
cessfully. Doan’s Kidney Pills,
however, gave me relief. ”

TO MY PATRONS
I wish to announce that after
May the first I will be compelled

is limited I am not able to carry

in my line cash on delivery and
am not financially strong enough
to do that and carry my custo

the trade of all and if they can
give me this business and pay

of it much better and give
better, surer and more prompt
service. I trust that you will
give this matter due considera
tion. Thanking all for their
past favors,
