The county Grady which now is really the birthplace of the Judge has come to him most magnificently in this contest and *t pledge him an undivided vote [vldf " Were * ast the | in this race. The most gratifying assurances have come to him from every part of Calhoun and there is no longer any question as to the vote of that county. DOUGHERTY. Friends in Dougherty county been working hard in the interest of the Decatur candidate and tell the friends of Judge Harrell that he need not have any con cern over the old rock-ribbed county of Dougherty. Judge Harrell and his friends have been very active in that county and the most conservative! estimate is that he will get Dougherty by one of the most magnificent votes that any can didate could want. BAKER AND MITCHELL COUNTIES. These two counties are what might be termed the home counties of the opposition to Judge Harrell. Friends in both assure Judge Harrell that he wifi get a good vote in both of them. He is assured by his many friends in the lower part of Mitchell that he will get a most flattering vote. Many of his warmest friends live in the county of Mitchell and Baker and they are not mak- the time to look well into his record and his claims for the honor. PRESS COMMENT. PELHAM JOURNAL. The Pelham Journal has the following to say anent the De catur county man. “Judge Harrell is well know in Mitchell county, having been employed as counsel in some of the most important cases tried in this county during the past several years. So far he is the only candidate who has officially announced for the place”. EDISON NEWS. The Edison News is comment ing on the Decatur county man’s candidacy say: “Judge Harrell is an able judge and has had considerable exper ience in presiding over courts, having been judge over the city court of his home county for a long time. He has the unanimous endorsement of the bar of De catur county and will run a strong race”. WIREGRASS FARMER AND STOCK- MAN. The Turner county organ says: “Judge W. M. Harrell, is a well known and prominent mem ber of the bar of Decatur county. has been given a nice send off by his home folks and will run a good race”. CALHOUN COUNTY COURIER. The Calhoun County Courier says: “Judge Harrell is quite well known throughout the circuit and is recognized as an able ex ponent ot the law. He is an af fable gentlemen, conscientious and possesses a deep regard for justice and fairness to everyone. He is highly esteemed in home county, Decatur, where he has lived all his life. We know this for the editor of the Courier has lived there and has known Judge Harrell for many years. And we are sure his home section will give him a rousing, unanimous endorsement”. GRADY COUNTY SOLID. Letter from prominent men in Grady county assure judge Har rell that “Grady county is solid behind your candidacy”. As one man puts it: “Grady county feels as though she has as much right to claim Judge Harrell as a native son as Decatur county. He was educated in Cairo and we feel that we have a right to claim him. You musn’t forget that Grady county was at one time a part of De^ catur county. We’re going to roll up a large majority for Judge W. M. Harrell, at the polls”. CAMILLA ENTERPRISE. The editor of the Camilla En terprise says editorially: “Judge Harrell is one of the ablest lawyers of the circuit and has for many years practised in every county composing it. He is also an admirable gentleman whose character and ideals are such as to commend him to good people. This we can frankly say for him, regardless of the stand we may take in the campaign”. Judge W. M. Harrell, of Bain bridge, makes formal announce ment this week of his candidacy for judge of the superior courts of the Albany circuit. His candi dacy has been considered a practical certainty tor some weeks and his announcement will come as no surprise to the voters of the circuit. Judge Harrell is one of the ablest lawyers of the circuit and for many years has practised in every county com posing it. He is also an admirable gentleman whose character and ideals are such as to commend him to good people. This we can frankly say for him, regardless of the stand we may take in the campaign.—Camilla Enterprise. Judge W. M. Harrell of Bain bridge is in the race for judge of the Superior of the Albady Cir cuit. His formal announcement will be found elsewhere in this issue of the Journal. Judge Harrell is already well- known in Mitchell county having been employed as counsel in some of the most important cases tried in the county during past several years. He has been active ly engaged in the practice of law for 30 years except 8 years of which he was judge of the City Court of Bainbridge. He is Dresident of the Decatur County Bar Association and at a meeting of thi3 body held Friday he iwas unanimously endorsed for the office. So far he is the only candidate who has made formal announce- IDEE OPENS SEPT. 11 Everything Points to a Most Successful Year in the School Work. Chil drens’ Play Time Over. The Bainbridge Graded and High Schools will open on Mon day morning, September the 11, at 8:30. Pupils wishing to enter the First Grade must be accompani ed by. someone who can supply the necessary information re quired for the school records. To facilitate this enrollment, the F'irst Grade teachers will be at the school building on Saturday morning, Sept. 9 from nine to eleven o’clock for the purpose of enrolling their pupils. Avoid the rush by coming on Saturday. Former rates of tuition will be charged ti pupils not living within the incorporate limits, that is, $11.26 for primary, $13 50 for Grammer Grades, $18.00 for high school. Residents of Bainbridge pay $9.00 tuition in the high school, but there will be no charge for seventh grade pupils. One half of tuition is due to te paid on entering school. Pupils coming from other schools will find their report cards for last year helpful, and in many cases acceptable for eK- amination to enter. Parents are advised to have their childrens teeth put in good condition, and to have them ex amined by a physician if there is any suspicion of physical trouble needing correction. Do not purchase books until lists are supplied by teachers. WILL VOTE III RETURN The People of the Second Dis trict have now heard Congress j man Park’s record discussed from one end of the district to the other and a large majority of them, ac cording to the best information to be had from sources that have heretofore proved to be reliable are satisfied with it and will vote to send him back to Congress — Albany Herald.
