Cameron (second from left) placed first, followed by Killian (third from left), and Garrison was third overall (fourth from left). All the Scouts had fun playing in the water and then using their lungs to blow the boats from start to finish. It was a fun event, and everyone looks forward to doing it again next spring. MADISON MORGAN CULTURAL CENTER LEARN MORE! ( (0 Circle of Love (COL) Center hosted its most successful benefit concert to date April 4, drawing more than 260 supporters to Festival Hall in down- town Greensboro. Headlining the event was The Troubadour Project, an Atlanta-based band that filled the hall with the classic rock sounds of legends like Elton John, Queen, Fleet- wood Mac, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors. The evening began at 6 p.m. with two crowd-fa vorite food trucks — The Burch and Cafe Du Papa — parked outside to feed attendees before they enjoyed Festival Hall’s exceptional acoustics and small-town charm. The decor itself carried special meaning, with tables dressed in elegant shades of purple, adorned by vibrant flowers, whim sical glasses, and playful boas. Members of the concert committee wore metallic purple, adding to a festive, unified theme. “While purple is a beau tiful, fun color for our event CB&T donates to Ocmulgee CASA Pilot Club of Eatonton is excited to announce plans for our 2025 Dairy Festival to be held on to pay tribute to the Dairy Industry and our local dairy farms. Ocmulgee CASA trains and empowers commu nity volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system. These volunteers ensure each child’s voice is heard and their best interests are represented throughout their legal journeys. Community support, especially for organi zations like Ocmulgee CASA, represents a key part of the bank’s centu ry-long legacy of service and care. “Our team believes in the power of community tonight, I recently learned that the shades of purple also represent the shades of bruising,” Committee Chair Sarah Ford said during the intermission. “Domestic violence bruises leave scars, both physically and emotionally.” Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and guests, more than $60,000 was raised, all of which will directly support Circle of Love’s client services and assistance for domestic violence victims. These funds provide essen tial items and services, including food, clothing, safe shelter, transportation, and legal support. With more than 75% of Circle of Love’s clients being children who have faced dangerous situations alongside their mothers, this support will bring hope and healing to fami lies throughout the year. “This community is exceptionally loving, kind, and generous,” Circle of Love Executive Director Kimberly Bennett said. “I am so blessed and lucky to live and work in CENTU RY " et Agni 28, 2025 Ocmulgee CASA $500" .
