The matchup took place June last weekend, and the teams played tight compe tition, resulting in a split series. Lake Oconee lost 16-9 in the first game but bounced back with a 4-2 victory in the second contest. The Wild Things will return to Titan Field on June 13-14, where they will play the Atlanta Crackers at 7:05 p.m. in game one and 4:05 p.m. the following day. It seems like Brian Snitker is asleep in the dugout most of the time. There is no leader ship from any player in the clubhouse. Alex Anthopoulos also didn’t do anything in the offseason to address the team’s glaring roster holes. He could’ve been limited by the ownership group, which I think is keeping its checkbooks tight. Either way, bringing back Ian Anderson, Jesse Chavez, Eddie Rosario, and Craig Kimbrel, who are all re-treads, hasn’t worked. I feel like the organization has been doing that strategy for a long time. To start the week, the Braves were 27-37 overall, 14 games behind the first-place Mets in the NL East. They have lost nine straight games and seven consecutive series. They’re on a downward spiral. Snitker and Antho- poulos, you don’t have a good team, and someone needs to be held account able.
