C6 | THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 2025 The Eatonton Aessenger www.msgrnews.com MMCC presents Yacht Rock Schooner The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center (MMCC) plans to transform The Hall on Foster Street into a dance party Sept. 19, featuring the smooth sounds of the late-‘70s and early-‘80s by Atlanta’s Yacht Rock Schooner. The eight-piece YRS band specializes in a party sound, back to a time when music had heart and integrity. The Hall is a renovated 1950s gymnasium that provides the perfect setting for this concert, where Yacht Rock Schooner will play all the soft rock classics of the era, from Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Kenny Loggins, and many others. Yacht Rock Schooner features a dual keyboard setup, multiple ace vocalists, and a saxophone player. The band, composed of talented Atlanta-based musi cians, has remained a popular dance band and earned rave reviews for years. The Hall on Foster (513 Foster St., Madison) will open at 7 p.m., Sept. 19, for a 7:30 p.m. show by Yacht Rock Schooner. Tickets are $40 each or $300 for a limited number of six-seat VIP tables, on sale now for the YRS event at mmcc-arts.org/event- list/yacht-rock-schooner or through the MMCC box office at 706-342-4743.
