Helping Hand Gets Assist
An Emory University student of
psychiatry has been named by the
school of medicine to work with
Municipal Court-initiated Helping
Hand Society, a group that helps
persons repeatedly arrested for
drunk. Dr. Stephen Rheingold will
work with the organization and
court officers.
He will attend meetings of Help- (
ing Hand and assist in interviewing

An Atlanta real estate
broker, J. T. Bickers, has been
invited by the Department of
Commerce to participate in
the National Conference on
Small Business which will be
held in Washington, D. C., on
November 30 through Decem
ber 2.
Mr. Bickers told the. Inquirer
that some discussions that he has
been asked to participate in are:
How does integration effect small
business in this area ? How the
lack of proper training hurts? and
can greater influence by the na
tional government help put an end
to these problems ? The answers to
these and other problems will be
explored during the national con
ference.
Mr. Bickers is the president of
the Empire Real Estate Board, an
organization comprised of 28 realty
companies. He is also president of
J. T. Bickers Realty Company,
executive vice-president of the At
lanta Mortgage Brokerage, Inc.,
chairman of the Bigger and Better
Business of Phi Beta Sigma fra
ternity and a member of the Board
of Directors of the Atlanta Invest
ment Associates.
