North Flem Fitzgerald Jeff Stephens Iwvitacus Hartley Henry W. Grady for Congress- The Right Man f. r the Place. We notice that much comment is being made at present on the candidacy for the next congres sional campaigne. Allow me to say that there has been one man mentioned who would be the best- man for the place that has ever represented a Southern district, except the immortal Brn Hill, who represented our district some years ago. Just here, let me say that Hon. Rufus Dorsey’s name has been mentioned,* now if he would run he is Fayette's man. He could not ask for any thingjihat Fayette would not freely give him. He is "our Rufus" and we are his people. But as to Mr. Gtady; he stands the superior of all probable candU dates. What we want in congress is a man who will step into the front ranks, and Grady is the man that can do it. He would com mand the respect and coi fidence of every member of the House on sight. Grady will'take the lead er-ship cf the entire congress the day he enters. And another idea; he is a rep resentative of the new south; he is a dealer in, and feeler of, the issues of the present d.,y. lie is not a man to stir up dead issues or past events, yet he is as true to southern principles as any man south of the Mason and Dixon line. In Mr. Grady are centered the eloquence of Hill, the brain of Stephens, and the principles of Jeff Davis; and that's the kind ol a man to represent the fifth dis trict^ congress. Reader. T. B. Farrer says he ha* decid ed not to get him a road cart, why not Bogin you looked ever so nice in that one Saturday. The protracted meeting will be held at Unloo Chapel the second week in September commencing Ssturday before the second Sun day. Will Farrer says he went to campmeeting and hauled stock to the saw mill at the same time Tuesday, he wasn’t all the smart one* Henry & Eluc. List #f Jurors Inwn for Sep tember term, 1880.
