Remember, if you have scale on your fruit trees, you should spray the trees this month with concentrated lime-sulphur. On every farm there should be a good grazing lot near the house, er- muda and bur clover has given good satisfaction in the Piedmont section. Get your ground ready for sodding. The following letter from Dr. Soule of the State College of Agriculture is self-explanatory, and I would be glad to have some one from each district attend. Please write me at once if you can attend. The Boll Weevil School, a series of twenty practical demonstrations which a farmer may put into practice upon his farm in 1920,- will be held at the College January 20 to 30 and will re place the ordinary short course which has been given to famrers every year at the same time that were with us. You will notice from the pamphlet that a great deal of material will be assembled for the short cours. Please tell the farmers with whom you come in touch that this will not be a series of lectures, but demonstrations in which they can take part. They will not be talked to death but will be helped in carrying out, as demonstra tions, some practical items of work which may be of inestimable value to them if put into practice upon their farms during the coming year. While they will study how to fight the boll weevil and will make demonstrations with the latest hand and power ma chinery for dustingfi calcium arsenate, they will also give the major portion of their attention to potatoes; market ing of hogs; terracing and tractor work; fence post treatment; prevent ing diseases in wheat, oats and Irish potatoes; pruning and spraying; and other farm problems. Please study the little pamphlet very carefully. Distribute them to young men as well as to more mature farmers and write me the names of those who are interested in coming to the school. Tell them they will have to send in their applications at once on account of crowded living condi tions in Athens. There has been a fee of 5.00 charged for entrance into the school and this was made necessary on account of the large amount of ma terials which we will bring together for this school. Trusting that you will give this mateer your immediate attention and that you will send me a list ,of pros pective candidates for this school, am, Very respectfully, Andrew M. Soule, President. Pale, Anemic Girls Need A Blood Tonic Pepto-Mangan Enriches and Builds Up the Blood Pallor, Headaches and Shortness of Breath Disappear Pepto-Mangan Sold in Liquid and Tablet Form Why should any girl or young worn an continue to have a pale, sallow complexion and a listless, run-down system devoid of energy and vital ity? Sucn young folks are continually unhappy and dejected simply because they accept such a condition as their misfortune, and envy their friends who are in the bloom of health and enjoying all the good things of life. If such young women would realize that their anemic condition is probably due to thin, impoverished blood, which could easily be enriched by Gude’s Pepto-Mangan, how much happier and attractive they would be. Gude’s Pepto-Mangan is a safe, ben eficial and pleasant tonic for anyone suffering from any ailment caused by poor blood. If taken regularly for a few weeks it will enrich the blood with thousands of the healthy red-blood cells that are needed to carry nourish ment to every part of the body. Pepto-Mangan is sold in both liquid and tablet form. Both contain the same medicinal ingredients. Buy Pepto-Mangan at your drug gist’s. Be sure the name “Gude’s” is on the package. Without “Gude’s” it is not Pepto-Mangan. For Rent. Two-horse crop, good land, good house, good bam, plenty wood, good well of water, pasture, etc. Four bales cotton. W. E. Smith. THE UNIVERSAL CAR WEAK LINKS IN A STRONG CHAIN That’s just what imitation parts are when they become a part of your Ford car. They look strong enough, but the metal isn’t there—the strong, durable Vanadium steel that goes into the Ford chassis and every Ford part... Ford parts are specially cast and heat-treated, each according to its use Some require a hard, flint-like wearing surface, others need resiliency, and some need just “toughness.” Ford metaUurgists have been studying these problems for six teen years and know jnst how each unit should be made to en dure a maximum of wear and tear They know that best re sults can be obtained only by the use of special formulas for dif ferent parts, and that honest Ford parts wear from thirty-five to one hundred per cent longer than counterfeits. We carry complete assortments of genuine Ford parts for both passenger cars and trucks. And our garage is equipped to give careful, prompt Ford service—from minor adjustments to complete overhauls.
