Miss Grace Dorsette spent the week
end with Miss Willie Clyde Dorsette,
of New Lake Bennette.
Miss Marie Young, who has been
seriously ill for the last week, is slow
ly improving.
Mr. Wm. Boyd died at his home
near Bethany last Monday after an

duration. Mr. Boyd had lived in that
section all of his life and was one of
the county’s best citizens. He served
our county as a member of the Board
of Education and always manifested
a lively interest in the general welfare
of his community and county. He was
an active member of the M. E. church
and Sunday School, and held in high
estem by his neighbors and those who
knew him. When a young man he
married Miss Mattie Jones. Four boys
and four girls came to brigten and
bless their home, all of which are liv
ing but one. They are Mrs. L. A. Har
ris and Miss Mattie Boyd, of Bethany,

Miss Annie Mae Goodman visited
Lowry recently.
Dr. Wallis and sons, George and
Arthur, attended the Bible Conference
in Atlanta Sunday.
Miss Ara Turner, of Kenwood, and
Mr. W. T. Howell, of this place, were
united for life at the parsonage here
last Thursday evening, and are at
home to their many friends.
