Wise will regret to learn that he is 6ick this week. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Tinsley spent Sunday with their daughter Mrs. J. A. Phillipps at Fairbum. Mn. T. J. Rentz has returned to her home in Lexington, Ky., after spending awhile with her parents, W. L. Smith and family. Wayne Smith of Atlanta spent the week-cut with bomefolks. Mrs. J. F. Coppedge for several daps past has been making syrup on his plantation near Dlgby in Spauld ing county, leaving the skimming from the day’s work in barrels at the mill when quitting work for the day. In some way he over looked a ten-gallon can of syrup. When he went to work next morn ing the syrup was gone. This was just a little too much, so he goes on the war path and findB several bar rels of beer and other ingredients for making whiskey on adjoining farm which he promptly destroyed and sent word to other suspects that his barrels had to be brought back and put in their proper place. The syrup as pet lias not been brought back. Clayton Jones boys had a collision with their automobile in the suburbs of Brooks Saturday night week about 8:30 o’clock which damaged both cars considerable. Fortunately no one was hurt. Prof. West spent Thanksgiving with homefolks in South Carolina. The other teachers were with home- folks ercept Miss Alford. All the boys from Barnesville A. & M. College were at home Thanksgiv ing.
