WOULD NOT BUFFER SO AGAIN
FOR FIFIY TIMES ITS PRICE.
I awoke last night with severe pains
in my stomach. I never felt so badly
in all my life. When I came down to
work this morning I felt so week I
could harkly work. 1 went to Miller &
MoCurdy’s drug store and they recom
mended Chamberlain’s Colic, Cholera
and Diarrhoea Remedy. It worked like
magic and one dose fixed me alright. It
certainly is the finest thing I ever used
for stomach trouble. I shall not be
without it in my home hereafter, for I
should not care to endure the sufferings
of last night again for fifty times its
price.—G. H. Wilson, Liveryman, Bur

ToCotton Growers
I
, As we are on the eve of marketing
the cotton crop of 1900, we desire a hint
to the cotton grower.
Last season we prophesied that it
would be profitable to hold your cotton
for higher prices. Our prediction was
more than realized, as we wore sure
that the crop would prove to be a short
one caused by drought duriug the month
of Angus*.
This year the same opportunity is be
ing offered
First: We had the latest spring on
record, followed by rain every day dur
ing the month of June, which put the
crop in a deplorable condition from
which it has never recovered.
Oar prediction this year is that WE
will see the lowest prices for cotton in
October and November. This will be
caused by the farmers being forced to
sell their cotton in order to meet their
fall obligations.
Now this means that the bulk of the
crop will pass into the hands of the
speculators and manufacturers- So
soon as this takes place, which will be
about January or February the crop
will suddenly be found short and with
the small amount of last years crop
carried over the consumer will see at
once the supply will not meet the de
mand. Upon these facts our opinion is
we will s°e prices go skyward with a
rush—lo cents sure.
Hold your cotton for January prices
and reap the benefit of the short crop.
If you are not financially able to do this,
we are ready and willing to assist yon.
We have an abundant supply of money
which we propose to adv anoe on cotton
stored with us at the remarkably low
and legal rate of 8% per annum. Re
member we charge no commission.
Yours anxious to serve,
Winder Warehouse Cos.

A Turkey Dinner.
One of the most pleasant occasions of
which we have had the pleasure of be
ing one of the number present was a
big turkey dinner at the hospitable
home of Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Rainey,
of Mulbeiry, on last Thursday. Editor
Snow, w ife and daughter, of Social Cir
cle, had been the guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Rainey for several days, and to add to
the enjoyment of their visit and sever
al others who were present on that day,
the host and hostess gave a sumptuons
dinner of turkey and every thiag else
that would satisfy tlie appetite of mor
tal man. Editor Snow, Messrs M. D.
Irwin, W. H Toole and J. A. Mobley
did fall jastice to the occasion and
demonstrated the fact that they could
appreciate a good dinner. As we had
already done this on several previous
occasions, we kept qniet and ate turkey
until it was deemed prudent to cease if
we ever expected an invitation in the
fu<ura to dine with Mr. und Mrs.
Rainey* There is ro place where yon
are made to feel more at home and
where all formalities are laid aside
than with them, and we feel assured
that the splendid dinner and pleasant
time spent at their beantifnl and kind
home will long be remembered by
everyone present.
