Dr. L. A. Brown will give a
Gospel talk at the morning hour on
the subject of “The Call of
Matthew.” At the night services
he will use as the subject “Rock of
Ages ’’ This will he a Rock of
Ages service. Dr. Brown will give
a history of the old hymn and
preach from the same text that
prompted the* writer to write* the
hymn. The ehureh male quartette,
composed of George N Bagwell,
Claud Cook, L. A. Brown and
Winders popular bass singer, Mr.
Sam Potts, will render one of the
h-st male quartets yet given by
them. There will be mixed quar
ts ts and the services will close by
the congregation singing the old
hymn, “Iloek of Ages.” The idea
is for every service rendered to he a

MASS MEETING EAST FRIDAY NIGIH
Prominent Citizens Gather in City
Mali and Organize Winder
Board of Trade.
In response to the call for a
business men’s meeting more than
200 of Winder’s representative
citizens assembled at the city hall
Friday night and resolved them
selves into a hoard of trade.
J. B. Wiliams was elected tem
porary and briefly stated the object
of the meeting. On motion a
committee was named to suggest a
name for the organization and
nominate permanent officers. The
chair appointed Messrs. W. L.
Blasingame, G. W. Woodruff, J.T.
Strange, W. T. Robinson, W, O.
Berry, and M. J. Griffeth, ns u
nominating committi e.
This committee suggested ns a
name The Winder Hard of Trade,
and nominated the following for
permanent officers:

Second Vice President, 11. N.
Rainey, Jr.
Secretary - Treasurer, W. 0.

The report of the committee was
unanimously adopted.

I was no reason why wc should not

more years.

addresses along progressive lines.

j chair and will report at the meeting
i tonight. Every citizen of Winder
is urged to present in the city hall
this evening.
