Mrs. Mac Potts is hostess to the Young Matrons Federated club and a few friends. FRIDAY, FEB. 25. Mrs. H. T. Flanigan will en tertain at a Musical Tea in the aftjarnoon. SATURDAY, FEB. 2G. Mrs. Z. F. Jackson and Mrs. B. B. Jackson will give a recep tion in honor of Mrs. John H. , Wood and Mrs. L. H. Reid from J 3 to 6. JUNIOR PRISCILLA SEWING CLUB. A jolly occasion of last week was Thursday afternoon when Mrs. Rob ert Arnold was hostess to the Junior Priscilla club at a most delightful sew ing party. Following the usual time npent in sewing was the serving of a delicious salad course. Those present were Mesdames Ralph Smith, Robert Camp, W. H. Jennings, S. H. Ware, Preston Williams, Edgar DeLaPerriere, W. R. Smith, Ed Herrin, H. A. Clarithers, Clyde Williamson, Paul Roberts, W. N. Bailey, H. Wat kins, J. B. Parham, Albert Williams, Arnold, Watkins, Broome, Otis Camp, and little Miss Ann Arnold. Some miscreant went into the Chris tian church recently and broke open the little bank that was kept in the church in which was kept the offerings for the orphans’ home. The Woman's Christian Temperance Union will entertain for the teachers of the Winder Public schools on Mon day evening, February 28, at 8 o'clock, at the home of Mrs. W. B. MeCants. All members of the W. C. T. U., to gether with their husbands, are urged to attend All honorary members with their wives, are also invited. The pas tors of our churches, the superinten dent and teachers in the Sunday school the members of the board of education and school visiting committee, with their wives, are all cordially invited to attend this reception. Prof. Cash and his efficient corps of teachers have cooperated loyally with the scientific temperance instruction department of the Union, of which Mrs. MeCants is the efficient superin tendent, and it has become a custom for the Union to give this reception to them annually. It is hoped that there will be a large attendance and that the teachers may then become better ac quainted with many of the people of the town. VANDERFORD-EYERETT Mr. James Everett and Miss Elzana Vanderford were married Wednesday of last week, Rev. W. J. Robinson of ficiating. The happy couple have the best wishes or their many for their happiness and prosperity. DOSTER-GREESON. Mr. S. H. Greeson and Miss Lottie Doster, two young people of this sec tion, were happily married last Friday, Rev. Wilks M. Jones performing the ceremony. Their many fronds are ex tending heartiest congratulations. Mrs. W. H. Fau'st and Mr. Asa Knight accompanied Rev. W. H. Faust to his regular appointment at Oconee last Sunday afternoon. GEORGE WASHINGTON PARTY. Miss Charlotte MeCants entertain ed the Teachers club at a pretty George Washington party on last Saturday afternoon at her home ou Candler St. After an hour’s sewing, two attract ive contests were enjoyed. The prizes which were miniature hatchets tied with red ribbon and cherries were awarded to Misses Allene Kilgore and Samrnie Davis. Late in the afternoon a delicious sal ad course was served, still carrying out lie George Washington idea. Twenty guests were present. Mr. Shannon Smith is on the sick list this week. * • Mr. Ralph, Moon was a visitor to Athens Thursday afternoon. • * Mrs. B. B. Jackson spent the past week-end in Atlanta. • • Prof. J. L. Moore, of Bethlehem, was a visitor in the city Saturday. * • Miss Ola Thompson spent last Sun day in Lawrenceville. • • Mr. G. C. Moseley made a business trip to Atlasta Wednesday. * * Misses Willie and Mary Meadow are spending the week-end in Atlanta. • • * Mrs. O. M.
