The body of Mrs. Carrie Albright,
who died in Atlanta Sunday night,
was brought to Winder Wednesday
and buried in Rose Hill cemetery.
Miss Mary Lou and Master Bird
Betts, of near Pendergrass, were
visiting relatives ir. Winder the
early part ul the week. Little Miss
Lila Dell Betts accompanied them
home for a weeks’ visit.
Mrs. Z. F. Stanton, who is spend
ing some time at Tallulah Falls,
slipped on the rocks while walking,
around the falls and sustained pain
ful injuries, though not of a seriousi
nature. She is expected home next

Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Cannon and
family went to Athens Wednesday
to witness the University graduat
ing exercises. Grady Cannon is
one of this year’s graduates. The
party made the trip in the big
touring car of Dr. Hall Turner.

First. That, they desire for them
se'ves, their associates, successors
and assigns to lie incorporated
under the name nml style of
“Statham Lumber and Furniture
Cos.”
Second. The term for which
petitioners ask to he incorporated
is twenty years, with the privilege
of renewal at the end of that

Third. The capital stock of the
corporation is to he 45,000 divid
ed into shares of SIOO.OO <Hich.
Petitioners ask, however, the priv
ilege of increasing said capital
stock from time to time, not ex-
ceeding in the aggregate $25,000.
Fourth. 40 per cent of said
capital stock of $5,000.00 lias al
ready been actually paid in.
Fifth. The,object of the pro
posed corporation is pecuniary
gain and profit to its stock

mill, saw mil’ and such machines
as may he necessary and expe

articles and things as may be

persons or companies in selling or
handling and manufacturing such
products and articles similar
thereto.

the necessary real estate for use
in making said articles, to make
and execute all necessary con
tracts pertaining to said business,
and to exercise the usual powers,
and to do all usual, necessary and
proper Itcts \Vhich pertain to, or
may be connected with said busi
ness. To have and to use a cor
porate seal, to sue and be sued.
Sixth. The principal office and
place of business of the proposed
corppratiou will be in the town
of Statham, said state and coun
ty, and petitioners desire the
right and privilege of establishing
branches of their said business at
other places in the diseretion of
their board of directors. \
Wherefore, Petitioners pray to
be made a. body corporate under
the name aforesaid, entitled to
the rights, privileges and immu
nities and subject to the liabili
ties fixed by law.
