The Home Mission Society of the

23. Rev. Marchman, pastor of the
church, conducted the devotional
exercises. Addresses of welcome
were made by the pastor of the
Second church, by Mrs- Robertson
for the Auxiliary of the First church
and by the president of the Auxil

addresses of welcome were r"spond

Monroe. Then Mrs. Luke Johnson,
of Athens, gave an interesting talk
on the. rescue work in Dallas, Tex.
Tuesday morning Mrs. Fletcher
Johnson, district secretary, called
the conference to order. Mrs. W.
H. N unnally was elected recording
secretary of the conference. There
were representatives from every
auxiliary in the district except two,
namely, Loganville and Gumming.
A number of visitors were present,
among them being Mrs. Boifeuillet,
district secretary of the Athens dis

meeting.
Encouraging reports came from
all of the delegates and showed
progress along all lines of our work,
explaining some things which had
1> *en perplexing to many of the del
egates heretofore.
In the afternoon an Auxiliary
meeting was conducted, many offi
cers taking part. Boxes to needy
ministers and to Yashti Home were
pledged by most of the delegates
for their auxiliaries.
Mrs- Luke Johnson’s talk on
“Our Home Mission Work,” was
very instructive and spiritual. Mrs.
Rufus Brown, the conference sec
retary, is well informed in every
department of the work and gave a
most helpful and needed talk.
Monroe, (la., was selected as the
meeting place one year hence.
Much could he said in f >raise of
the good ladies of Gainesville foi
the manner in which they enter

as well as for the delightful dinner
which was served on the grounds.
The future of our home mission
work in north. Georgia is full of
promise, and, best of all, the spir

remedies unsuccessfully he heard
about Doan’s Kidney Pills and
bought a box at Turner's Phar

to feel better and when he had
