WATSON AT LAWRENCEVILLE.
Thomas E. Watson spoke at
Lawrencevillo \\ ednesday to a large
crowd. There are few people in
Georgia who dp not enjoy Tom’s
entertainments of caustic sarcasm,

to bear what the representative of
the Republican Annex had to say.
Tom came, said it and then de

Synopsis of Play to Be Presented
by Winder SJ. D. C.
Preparations arc being made by
the U. D. C. to give a play at the
Opera House on Oct. 16.
“A Day at the Union Depot”
will be presented for the benefit of
our “Cemetery Gateway,” and the
indications arc that it will be one
of the cleverest local productions in
recent years.
The play will he given under di
rection of Miss Margaret Melick, a
professional of unusual ability in
ibis line.
It will have all the funny scenes
and situations one is apt to see in
any big Vinion depot. The stage
will be iaabe up with its benches,

thrusting it'into the arms of a dig
nified gentleman and disappearing
suddenly in the crowd. There will
be a Mrs. Buttinsky, Carrie Nation,
and indeed everybody and every
character one could think of.
