Are Trading With Us,
ARE YOU?
if Not, Why Not ?
Our fall opening sale has been the greatest suc
cess a sale of that kind ever had in Winder. We have
hardly words enough to express our gratification to
our friends and customers for the confidence they
place in our special sales, which means practically
in us, and in return we promise you that any
statement we made in our circulars in the past, or
will make in the future, must, and will be. fulfilled in
the store.
We can say with pride that thousands of smart buyers of the best class
of farmers and business j eople of Jackson, Gwinnett and Walton counties are
i
spending their cash with us, where they can make one dollar go as far as one
dollar and twenty-five cents anywhere else. Are you one of them? If not, why
not? Is net a dollar's savings worth to you as much as to any one else? Or is it
bacause you don’t know U3? If so, ask your neighbor about us.

Ths Chinese Waiter.
The ehi-ef glory of an average Chi
nese inn is the waiter. This indispen
sable functionary is the guardian of all
your interests for the time i**ing, and
when you are uot looking lie dives into
secrets and matters of your own that i
seem to amuse and enlighten him to
your inconvenience and annoyance. ;
1 Like bis confreres in other and more
i enlightened countries, he hardly ever
; separates himself from the inevitable
napkin, but his badge of waitersblp is
| a very practical article with him. With
' it In summer he mops his damp brow
or bare shoulders. *hiie in winter,!
wrapped about his b *ad, it protects
him frotu rain and wind The Chinese
waiter’s napkin is put t.c ai! kinds of
uses besides those just mentioned. It
I is used as a dishcloth, a mop with
: which to wipe the floor, a cloth for
cleaning and wiping down tables and
n duster. But Chinese landlords are
very reasonable, in their charges, which
In a measure compensate for the on
plwuantnens of living in their Inna.
