PENTECOST.
Quite a large crowd attended
preaching here Sunday. We had a
good sermon and real good music.
Messrs. Jimmie Wall and Charlie
Robertson, of Statham, were here
with their cornets. We appreciated
their coming very much and extend
t ) them an invitation to come again.
The quarterly conference con
vened here Saturday and was well
attended. All the cuurches of the
Jackson circuit were represented. J.
M. llaynie was selected to goto the
unnual conference. We wish to
thank our minister, who has been
so faithful in preaching the gospel
for us this year-

their daughter,Miss Pearl Elaine Roberts.and the other lady member
of the company who appear at the Lyric Friday and Saturday
nights in a high class performance of vaudeville, illustrated songs and
the novelty sensation of the day—talking pictures. Manager Sharp
ton has induced Mr. Roberts to piay at prices that will give every
one a chance to go both nights, and as the two night performances
are entirely different, there" will no doubt be well filledjhouses at
both performances. The admission is 20 cents for adults, 10 cents
for children und<mJ2 and the center section of the Lyric Theatre
will be reserved at lib cents a seat.
