Notice is hereby given to the voters
of Barrow County that on the 22nd
day of July, 1919, un election will be
held in Harrow County, ut which will
Ik- submitted to the qualified voters of
said county, for their determination,
the question whether bonds shall be is
sued by said Barrow County, Georgia,
jn the aggregate amount of One Hun
dred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to
be applied to and used for the purpose
Of erecting and building and equipping
and furnishing a COURT HOUSE in
and for said eounty, to be known as the
BARROW COUNTY COURT HO! sh.
,s a id bonds to be issued aro described
as follows: BARROW COUNTY
COURT HOUSE BONDS.
The said issue of bonds in the aggre
gate sum of One Hundred Thousand
Dollars, if issued, shall consist of one
hundred bonds, in number, numbered
from one (1) to one hundred (1<>0)
both inclusive, each of said bonds to be
of the denomination of One thousand
Dollars ($1,000.00) and all of said
bonds are to bear interest at the rato of
five per centum per annum (5 por cent.)
from the first day of August, 1010, pay
able annually on the first day of Janu
ary in each year and the principal
thereof is to be payable us follows:
Five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) on
January first. 1930, and Five Thousand
Dollars ($5,000.00) on the first day of
January of the years 10.11, 1032, 1933,
1014, 1035, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1030, 1040,
IP4I, 1042, 1041, 1044, 1915, 1040, 1047,
1948, 1049, the said several installments,
twenty in number, of five bonds each of
the proposed issue, aggregating the sum
of $100,000.00 and on the last named
date, January first, 1049, all of said
bonds, principal and interest, are to be
fully paid off.
Said election shall be held at all the
voting precincts within the limits of
the said county and shall bo held by
the same persons and in the same man
ner and under the same rules and regu
lations as those that govern elections
for county officers for the said county
of Barrow, and the returns of the said
elections shall be made by the election
managers to the Ordinary of Harrow
County, and said Ordinary of Harrow
County shall, iu the presence of and to
gether with the said several managers
of elections who bring up the said re
turns, consolidate the returns nnd do
K-lare the result. The hours for the hold
ing of the said election will be the same
as the hours for holding the election tor
county officers, namely, seven o’clock,
a. m. nt the court house until six o’clock
p. m. and at the other preeintes in said
county from eight o'clock a. m. until
three o’clock p. m. sun time, on the
paid da to for holding the said election,
July 22nd, I!H9.
Both principal and interest, on the
snid bonds is to be payable in gold coin,
of the United States of the present
weight and fineness at such place as
may be designated in the bonds.
Those desiring to vote in favor of the
issue of snid bonds will do so by east
jug their ballots having written or
printed upon them the words “ For Bar
row County Court House Bonds,” and
those desiring to vote against the issue
of said bonds will do so by casting bal
lots having written or printed upon
them the words “ Against Barrow Coun
ty Court House Bonds.

of record on the minutes of this court,

Notice is hereby Riven to the voters

as follows: PUBLIC ROAD BONDS.
The said weue of bonds in the aggre
gate sum of one hundred thousand dol
lars, if issued, shall consist of one hun

one (1) to one hundred (IDD) both in
clusive, each of said bomis to be of the
denomination of one thousand dollars,

TURE TO HAVE A BOAR SALE.
The latest information places
Georgia seventh among the hog
raising states of the country. The
number of hogs credited to the
state is well over the three million
mark.
There v.asat into when any kind
of a hogwould satisfy the average
farmer. A change has taken place,
however, and the progressive far
mer wants better hogs.
The small farmer and the tenant
cannot always spare money to buy
purebreds. It might not he the
wise thing to do it’ he could. Hut
it would he mighty good business
on Ids part to have a purebred
male. In fact, there has been a
campaign made to get a purebred
hale hog on every farm in twenty
four counties
This campaign aroused the hog
raisers in other counties unoil in
quires for purebred sires arrive
with increasing frequency. To ren
der any dependable service neces
sitated personal inspection before
recommending a candidate for
sale.
To facilitate and supply those
who want good sires for use this
fall, the State College of Agrieul-|
tore at Athens has taken the mat
ter up with the foremost breeders
in the state, and will hold a sale of
young boars on August 7th, in the
new Animal Husbandry building
at that plaee. There will be ten l
head each of Poland China. Du roc
Jersey, Hampshire and Berkshire
breeds offered. These are January,
February and March pigs All reg
istered and cholera immune, and
have been inspected by the well
known hog expert, Carl Wallace, i
The sale will he held in the af
ternoon of August 7th. Col. b. H.
liuliek of Atlanta, Indiana, crying
the sale. In the morning a special
demonstration in judging and
placing animals will be made by J.
K. llite, veteran showman nud
breeder. This will be the sale for
the small farmer and tenant to get
a purebred boar ot the right type
for use this fall at a price he can
afford to pay. All the animals from
well known herds in the state. All
home-raised and home-bred.

August, 1919, at the Court House door
in said county, between the legal hours

three tracts of land described below, to

An undivided one third interest in
that tract or parcel of land lying and
being in said State and County and in

and designated as one half of lot No.
40, according to the survey of the Town
of Statham, and bounded as follows: On
the north and west by the old M. J. C.
