Found, fur S'ven years our efficient, and faithful pastor and for three years 0"e of our most consistent members, having bean called from us to the field at Machen, where be was so faithfully and effectually serving his Master when the cold hand of death, almost, without 1 moments warning, severed the cord of life and summoned him to his reward; therefore be It Resolved; First : —That the Towaligaßapti st Church ex' end to the good people of Machen and community, the band of sympathy in their bereavement ever the loss of their late and our former pastor, whose sacrifices and services with and for us we deeply appreciate and lovingly remember, Second :—That we found in him an ardent worker, with a heart and hand of love aud sympathy for the distress ed and suffering, a friend to both young and old,ever ready to proclaim and support the truth and as ready to denounce and suppress evil wherever and whenever opportunity and duty called him. Third : —That the spiritual develop meat and warm Christian fellowship of our churdh at present are large ly due to his untiring efforts, earnest zaalaud faith in God during the sev en years of service as our beloved pastor. Fifth :—That we extend to his con secrated companion, Sister Pound, who so earnestly and patiently shared with him his sorrows and his joys our heartfelt sympathy in har be reavement and pray God’s blessings upon her and the four children left to her charge, and his guidance for them in this sad hour.
