Mrs. Sam Foster, Miss Imo gene Harknesf and her guest, Miss Sweet Patrick of Griffin, visited Jackson the first of the week. McMichael. .Mesdames Hope McClure, Ghitty Cook and John Reeves of Stark, were guests Tuesday of Mrs. N. J. Harmon. Prof. Butler has rented rooms from Mrs. M. J. Bailey, and is taking meals with Mrs. J. T. Smith until Mrs. Butler arrives. Otis Ham is spending a few days in Atlanta with relatives. * Joe Wall came up from Fitz gerald Monday morning and will remain in and around Jackson until after his marriage to Miss Caroline Smith. Messrs Paul and Robert Rosser of Atlanta, who are spending some time at Indian Spring, came .Monday for a few days visit to their grandmother, Mrs. M. A. Goodall. Dr. Ben Watkins of Bullards, Ga., is spending some time with his parents. Many friends of Mr. Bryant Collier will be sorry to learn that he left Tuesday for New York, where he will make his future home. A host of friends of Mr. and Mrs. 0. A. Pound and daughter, Miss Martha, are glad to know they will be in Jackson for the winter. They arrived Tuesday evening from Nashville, and are now visiting Mrs. E. E. Pound.
