Miss Anna Belle Watkins open *<ed her school at Pepperton lasi Monday with an enrollment of about 60 pupils, assisted by Miss Janie Lemon. Lnndtrs, the popular operator at Bibb, and Miss Jani- Lemon, took a pleasant drive out to Cedar Creek last Sunday after noon. Mr. W. A. White was a visitor ‘to Jackson Wednesday. it is needless to say, but it aeems that nearly everybody is .moving. Mr. J. R. Conner has moved to Jackson, and Mr. W. A. Smith has moved to where Mr. Conner lived; Mr. W. H. Waits has moved to Flovilla, and Mr. P. P. Young to where Mr. Waits lived, Mr. Marion Duke, -of Worthville, has moved to where Mr. Young lived; Mr. Tern fiedman has moved to south Geor gia, and Mr. J. H. Smith to where Mr. Redman lived, and Mr. C. B. Pulliam to where Mr. Smith lived; Mr. J. T. McMichael has moved his family to Monti <ct*llo; Mr. John P. McLeroy has •moved his family to Monroe county, near Forsyth: Messrs. Lummus and Skinner, of Flovilla, have moved to where Mr. McLe roy lived. Mr. Tommie Maddox was bac’- ly hurt in runaway Monday. While driving home from Flovil ia with a load of lumber his horse became frightened and ran away throwing Mr. Maddox from his -wugor. He was seriously injured, having several teeth knocked out.
