Death resulted instantly. The lad is said to have been turning the cylinder and looking down the barrel when the pistol, which had snapped twice, was dischar ged. The funeral and interment took place on Monday. PENSION MONEY WILL NOT BE RECEIVED VERY EARLY It will doubtless be some time yet before the pension money is received and paid out. The delay is caused by the failure to send in all the blanks promptly. It is a rule in the office of the pension commissioner that checks have to be mailed to all the counties at the same time. Butts countv has this year 123 pensioners and will receive a to tal of $7,590. During last year 13 pensioners died, 8 new names were added and 2 transferred. It is impossible to tell at this time when Judge Ham will re ceive a check for the amount due Butts county’s pensioners. DEATH OF AGED LADY The death of Mrs. McKinley, aged 94 years, one of the most prominent women in the county, occured at her home a few miles from Jackson the first of the week. The funeral was held on Wednesday. Mrs. McKinley is survived by several children.
