BISHOP CANIMK iO BE AT CHAUTAUQUA Bishop Warren A. Candler has accepted an invitation to preach the opening sermon at the Jack son Chautauqua on June 12. This announcement will be of interest to the people of the entire coun ty. Bishop Candler is one the strongest men of the Methodist church and his coming will prove a big boost to the chautauqua, which is considered fortunate in securing him. The chautauqua has secured some very strong attractions, among which may be mentioned Bishop Candler for the opening sermon and ex-governor Hoke Smith for his well known lecture on “Dixie During the Sixties’* for Tuesday, June 14, which will be military day.
