A JOKE ON THE “OLD MAN” Old man Jones and his son John came to town the other day and sold their cotton and cotton seed. The man they sold to gave them each a check on me bank for the proper amount. Now the old man was just a little too wise. “Hay” said he, “ifit is just the same to you, 1 w uld rather have the cash, am. asked John if he wanted the cash also. John said he and just as soon have the check. John gave h.s check to his father to keep for him, but on the way home the old man lost his pockctbook, and althoug they looked high and low if could not be found. The money and check was both lost forever. But, say!
