BARTLETT. LOCAL LEGISLATION. An Act to Prohibit the Ginning of Seed Cotton in Butts County, at night, and for other Purposes. Section 1. Be it enacted by the Gen eral Assembly of the State of Georgia, and it is hereby enacted by the author ity of the same, that from and after the passage of this act, it shall be unlaw ful for any person, firm, corporation or stock company to gin any seed cotton in the county of Butts, State of Geor gia, at night, later than 7 o’clock in the evening, or earlier than 5 o’clock in the morning. Section 2. Be it further enacted, that any person, firm, corporation or stock company violating any of the provisions of this act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon convic tion be punished as provided in section 1035 of the code of 1910. FIOVILLA CITY COURT MEETS Gives Way to Busy Far mers After Short Ses sion Monday The City Court Court of Flo villa met and adjourned Monday. Judge A. H. Ogletree did not want to throw any hindrance in the paths of the farmers, who are behind with their work on account of weather conditions, and accordingly a brief session was held. All business was continued un til Monday, the 24th, when the mill of justice will again begin to grind. There is a good deal of business to be disposed of by the court, it is said. Attorneys Moore, Fletcher, Redman and Watkins attended the session of the court from here. AGED LADY DEAD AT HER HOME IN FLOVILLA Mrs. C. A. Ogden died Sunday morning at six o’clock at her home in Flovilla. Mrs. Ogden, who was 88 years of age, had been a resident of Flovilla for a number of years. Her illness extended over a period of six weeks or more and during that time she bore her suffering with Christian fortitude. Mrs. Ogden is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George Gilmore, of Jackson, Mrs. H. J. Gilmore, of Adel, Ga., and Miss Mattie Ogden, of Flovilla; three grand children, Mrs. Joe Terrar, of Manitee, Fla., Misses Annis and Estelle Gilmore, of this city. The funeral was held Monday morning at Paron church, Mon roe county. The services were conducted by Rev. W. W. Ar nold, of McDonough. Monticello, Ga.
