MR, R. N. ETHERIO6E GOES TO MARKET FOURTH TIME The large firm of Etheridge. Smith & Company sends a buyer to the western and the eastern markets twice each year. They state they have had the best bus iness they ever had and that sev eral lines have been sold out and will have to be replenished. Mr. R. N. Etheridge of the firm leaves Saturday for St. Louis to attend the special sales of wholesalers, manufacturers and mills in that city next week. Mr. Etheridge states that this is one of the most profitable times to buy mernhandise as, he says, manufacturers want to begin on spring goods and are willing to close out stocks on hand at a sac rifice. Thurston has sold his blacksmith shop in this city to Messrs. John Robert Thurston and E. R. Harper. Mr. Thurs ton will devote his time to other lines of work. Mr. J, R. Thurston has been connected with the Carmichael Buggy Company for a long num ber of years. He is experienced in all kinds of shop work. Mr. Harper has recently come to Jackson from Stark. He too is an all-round, experienced black smith and shop man. The new firm should meet with success from the beginning. The new insurance law is do ing a good work.
