I T o CANDIDATES. No announcement of any candidate will be published in the Butts County Progress on a credit. The cash must accompany each and every announcement. This rule is fair to all and applies to all. We have been “stung” be fore, have swallowed the medicine, have recovered, and henceforth and forever announcements in the Pro gress will be published for the cash or not at all. 1-2-tf ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SHERIFF After carefully considering the solic itations of our many friends from dif ferent parts of the county, we have decided to announce ourselves for Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff of Butts county, subject to democratic primary to be ordered later, for the term of 1915-1816, and in the most respectful manner ask for your votes. W e are going to endeavor to conduct our cam paign without doing or saying any thing that would cause bitterness be tween friends or affect the good name of Butts county, and will carry out this policy so far as we are concerned until the last ballot is cast. If our victory depends upon mud slinging, misrepresentation, personal abuse and ridicule of our opponents whom we respect as being as good cit izens as we try to be, then we will go down in defeat with a clear conscience of having intentionally wronged no man.
