Knights Templar Confer Degrees Tuesday Night The Red Cross and the Order of the Temple was conferred up on Dr. Roy Gunter at a meeting of Alexius Commandery No. 22 Tuesday night. Nutt, who has been tax collector of Spalding county for a number of years, was re elected to that office Tuesday, de feating his opponent between six and seven hundred votes. Mr. Nutt is the father of Mr. T. A. Nutt of Jackson and has a large number of friends in Butts county. School Entertainment Miss Mary Land cordially in vites her friends to her school entertainment to be given Friday evening, May 1, at Worthville school. On account of the Macedo nians having their Sunday school Sunday morning caused an un usual crowd to attend Stark Sun day school in the afternoon. Mr. L. D. Singley spent Sun day with his son, Mr. G. A. Singley. Mr. Z. P. Smith was severely hurt Friday afternoon when he was thrown from his buggy. Van Jones, of Jackson, was here Sunday. Miss Mappy Hilley honored the young people with a singing Sun day night. A large crowd attend ed and the evening was very en joyable.
