MR. GEORGE STOOGHILL
SUCCUMBS TU FEVER
Mr. George Stodghill, aged 25,
died at his home in Pepperton at
3 o’clock Thursday morning of
last week, of typhoid fever.
The funeral was held at Mace
donia Friday morning at ten
o’clock. Rev. Olin King officiating
Mr. Stodghill was a member of
the Methodist church and was a
native of Worthville district. He
is survived by his wife, who was
Miss Mary Mote before her mar
riage, two children, Billie and
Helen Stodghill; his father and
several brothers and sisters.

MULE OIED OF HYDRO
PHOBIA LAST WEDNESDAY
A fine young mule, three and
a half years old, belonging to Mr.
W. H, Cawthon of route 1. died
Wednesday of last week, of hy
drophobia. It is not known how
or when the mule, which was
raised by Mr. Cawthon, was bit
ten, though it is supposed that a
dog affected with hydrophobia
bit the mule. Mr. Cawthon is
fearful that some of his other
stock will be affected with rabies.
Dr. Joel B. Watkins was sum
moned ,and treated the animal,
which, however, died in agony.
