Good idea.

A good joke is told on an edi
tor who went one evening to re
port a party at a home recently
blessed with a baby. He met his
hostess at the door and after the
usual salutations he asked after
the baby’s health. The lady who
was quite deaf, and suffering
with the grippe, thought he was
asking after her cold, and an
swered that although she usually
had one every winter, this was
the worst one she had ever had;
it kept her awake at night and
at first confined her in bed.
Then noticing that the news
paper man was getting ner
vous she said she could tell by
his looks that he was going to
have one just like hers and ask
ed him to go in and sit down.

posed of purely vegetable ingredients, which act
gently, yet surely, on the weakened womanly organs,
and helps build them back to strength and health.

success, and it will do the same for you.
You can’t make a mistake in taking
CARDUI
The Woman’s Tonic
Miss Amelia Wilson, R. F. D. No. 4, Alma, Ark.,
says: “I think Cardui is the greatest medicine on earth,
for women. Before I began to take Cardui, I was

Cold Settled
In His Back
*• Foley Kidney Pill* olwey* gie me
prompt relief.” —Ed Velton, Roger*, Nebr.
EdO Velton, of Rogers, Neb., writes:
*'l have used Foley Kidney Pills for
backache, the result of catching cold
which settled in my back. Foley
Kidney Pills always give me prompt
relief and I can cheerfully recom
mend them.”
The reason Foley Kidney Pills act
so satisfactorily is because they neu
tralize and dissolve the poisonous
waste matter that remains in the
blood because the kidneys do not
do their work properly in filtering
and casting out from the system uric
acid and other poisons.
Relief usually follows In a few
days and such symptoms as pain in
the sides or back, stiff joints, sore
muscles, rheumatism, too frequent
action of the bladder at night, and
other painful and annoying ailments
disappear. Foley Kidney Pills con
tain no harmful ingredients. They
are safe as well as quick aotlng.

Your Liver.
Calomel loses you a day! You
know what calomel is. It’s mer

like dynamite, cramping and sick

bones and should never be put
into your system.
When you feel bilious, sluggish,
constipated and all knocked out
and believe you need a dose of
dangerous calomel just remember
that your druggist sells for 50
cents a large bottle of Dodson’s
Liver Tone, which is entirely veg
etable and pleasant to take and
is a perfect substitute for calo
mel. It is guaranteed to start
your liver without stirring you up
inside, and cannot salivate.
Don’t take calomel! It makes
you sick the next day; it loses
you a day’s work. Dodson’s Liv
