WISHES
<
I wish for you in life the good—
Relief from all things weird and sad
That every glen and minstrel wood,
May always sing to make you glad.
Ijwish for you in life the sweet—
I would not have you sip the gall—
Triumphant over each defeat,
I’d have you crown love’s madrigal.
I wish for you in life the pure—
The richest bounties of this sod—
That you may ever feel secure,
As you pursue your way to Godl
