HONOREE AT BIRTHDAY
PARTY DECEMBER 22nd
A birthday party, held in honor
of Randy Buchanan, was held on
December 22 at his home in Pine
view subdivision. The party was
given by his mother, Mrs. Merilyn
Buchanan, with Randy celebra
ting his ninth birthday on De
cember 25th.
Many friends and relatives at
tended the gay occasion with
many nice gifts being brought.
Games were played and a choc
olate birthday cake with Christ
mas decorations on it, along with
punch and Christmas candy, was
served.

guests on Christmas Day Mr. and

JACKSON 4-H CLUBBERS
GAVE DEMONSTRATIONS
At a recent meeting the Jack
son 4-H Club Boys met with
their leader, Carl Brack, and pre
sented four demonstrations.
Those taking part were Tony
Trimble, Dog Care and Training,
Jimmy Tingle, Forestry, James
Ross, Snakes, and Ronnie Smith,
Photography.
Pictures of the meeting were
taken by Ronnie Smith.
Thirteen demonstrations have
been given by the boys this year.

Mrs. Frank Parrish, Benjie and
Debbie spent a part of the Christ
mas holidays in Swainsboro with
Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Hargraves,
parents of Mrs. Parrish.
Mr. D. T. Ford returned home
during the weekend via plane aft
er spending Christmas with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Ford,
of Fort Worth, Texas. This was
the first time in over 25 years
that Mr. Ford has been with his
parents at Christmas time. The
trip was made possible by Mr.
Ford’s wife and son.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackie Dunn and
daughter, Terri, were dinner
guests Christmas Day of Mr. and
Mrs. H. E. Freeman, parents of
Mrs. Dunn.
Mrs. W. J. White and Mrs. Es
lyn Jinks were dinner guests Sun
day of Mr. and Mrs. Ector Caw
thon of Atlanta and attended the
Hapeville First Baptist Church.
In the afternoon they visited Mr.
and Mrs. Rob Cawthon, Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Cawthon, Mr. and Mrs.
Minor Mason and Mrs. W. T.
Cawthon.
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Breedlove
of Virginia Beach, Va. will leave
January 4th for their home after
spending the Christmas holidays
with Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Kersey.

Misses Merrelyn and Beth Price
were dinner guests Sunday of Mr.
and Mrs. P. T. Wynn and Miss
Martha Wynn in Griffin.

ENJOYABLE DINNER
A delightful Yuletime dinner
party was given on Monday, De
cember 22nd, for the Jackson
Garden Club members and their
husbands. Hostess for the occas
ion was Mrs. J. H. Buchanan.
The home was decorated with
delicate smilax and glittering tree
with presents for all. The dining
room was decorated with the tra
ditional appointments of carna
tions, green branches and candles.
Fun was enjoyed by all present
with much madcap conversation
and reminiscing being done.

a broken hip in a fall Saturday.
She is in critical condition at Syl
