Rooks, son of Mrs. John Sherrell
and the late Jessie E. Rooks of
Jackson, Geargia.
Miss Cameron is the grand-.-
daughter of Mr. Dave Parrish of
Phenix City, Alabama and the
late Mrs, Willie Lee Parrish.
Mr. Rooks is the grandson of
Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Rawls and
Mr .and Mrs. Howard Rooks of
Jackson.
The wedding date is set for
June sth at seven o’clock at the
Westside Baptist Church. Invita
tions will not he sent. Friends and
relatives are invited to attend.

day, March 26th. Mrs. Kelly is
the former Miss Norma Mills of

22nd, at the Griffin-Spalding

'Wolfe is the former Miss Janet

Ronnie Aiken, a student at

Mr. and Mrs. John McEach
ern Jr. and daughters, Cindy and
Allison, of Roswell returned home
Monday after spending three days
with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Greer.

Miss Emily Phillips, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Phillips
of Locust Grove, became the
bride of Jimmy Rogers, son of
Mrs. Katherine Phillips and the
late Mr. Rogers, Friday evening,
March 27th, at the home of the
bride’s aunt, Mrs. Charlie Stew
art, and Mr. Stewart of Jacks_on.
Rev. T. J. Thaxton performed
the ring ceremony at eight o’clock
in the presence of friends and
relatives.
Following the wedding, refresh
ments of cake and punch were
served.
The groom is employed by The
Kym Company. Mr. and Mrs.
Rogers are making their home
at Locust Grove.
PERSONAL
Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Stevenson
spent the weekend of March 14th
in Charleston, S. C., going over
to visit her brother who is ill
in a hospital there. They report
the gardens at their peak for the
next few weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Jones Jr.
visited Miss Annie Lou McCord
at Hilltop Nursing Home last
Thursday evening. Friends will be
glad to learn that Miss McCord
is always happy to have friends
drop by for a short visit. Though
in a weakened condition, her
mind is still good and she admired
the Camellias carried to her.
Mrs. Clarence Shellnut is a pa
tient at the Griffin-Spalding
County Hospital where she is
scheduled to have surgery this
week her friends will be interes
ted to know.
