Florida Ceremony Unites

Mr. Harry W. Ball of Atlanta
served as his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Mr. James Faul
coner of Charlottesville, Virginia,
Mr. Jack Hayward of Tallahassee,
Florida, and Mr. Scott Ball,
brother of the groom, of Atlanta.
Miss Caren Harper of Blounts

and Miss Janis Baker, of Talla
hassee.
The old-fashioned girl motif
was carried out in the attendants’
dresses. They wore long sky blue
skirts with white, lace-trimmed
blouse, fashioned with high collar
and long leg-o’mut-ton sleeves.
The wide cummerbund was trim
med with daisies. They wore blue
velvet ribbon in their hair and
carried a bouquet of daisies.
Given in marriage by her
uncle, James S. M. Gray, the
bride wore an Empire style A
line gown of silk organza with
Camelot sleeves and bouffant
watteau chapel train. Fine cotton
Venice lace daisies accented the
sleeves, neckline and waistline
and formed panels on the skirt
front. Lace daisies also bordered
her silk illusion veil which was

The groom’s mother, Mrs. Ball,
chose a coat dress of pink em
bossed in white with satin finish.
Matching accessories and a white
orchid completed her attire.
Mrs. Gordon Booth, grand
mother of the bride, wore a pink
lace dress with coat, and a cor
sage of pink and white roses.
Mrs. John Stephens, grand
mother of the groom, chose a blue
embroidered linen dress with
matching accessories. Her corsage
was of pink roses.
The reception was given by
Mrs. Winstanley in the Church
Parlor. Daisies were used pro
fusely throughout the parlor. The
four-tiered wedding cake was dec
orated with white roses and top
ped with real roses and daisies.
Miss Lisa Ball, sister of the
groom, of Atlanta, kept the
bride’s book.
Following the reception Mrs.
Gray and Mrs. Booth entertained
the out of town guests at a buf
fet dinner at the home of Mrs.
Booth.
The couple honeymooned at
Daytona Beach and are now resid
ing in Tallahassee, Florida.
