HONOREE AT PARTY ON
HER 100th BIRTHDAY
Mrs. S. K. Smith was honored
Saturday afternoon with a family
party marking her 100th birth
day. Hostesses were her daugh
ters, Miss Virginia Smith, Mrs.
F. E. Gober, and Mrs. J. B. Rob
erts.
The table was covered with a
white cut-work cloth and centered
with an arrangement of white
chrysanthemums, tuberoses, pink
gladioli and pink carnations.
A crystal punch bowl graced
one end of the table while the
beautiful two-tiered birthday
cake, decorated with pink roses
and three sculptured candles in
dicating “100,” was at the other
end.
Erin Hester, great grand
daughter of Mrs. Smith, served
punch and Lee Ann Hester, an
other great granddaughter, kept
the guest book.

after spending the summer at

home in Boston, Mass, following
a visit of two weeks with Mrs.

MR. AND MRS. E. F. C. FISK, Hampton, Georgia, topped the
record of appliance buying at the first Co-op New, Used, Bent and
Bruised Appliance Sale which was held last fall. The Fisks came
prepared to trade for four appliances on the first day of the sale.
They bought a range, refrigerator, dishwasher and dryer.
