Power to the people.
That s the job of Georgia’s 41 consumer
owned electric utilities. Getting dependable
electric power to people who live in areas where
they couldn’t get electricity otherwise. That can
mean running lines ’way out to the one house that’s
twenty miles from nowhere. And it can also mean
bringing electricity—and new industiy—into
bustling urban counties. We get around—over
80% of the area of the state, as a matter of fact.
Winch means power to one-and-a-quarter million
people. So remember who we are.

STOP MILK SKIN
Surface skin is formed when
milk is heated in an uncovered
pan. It’s due to a drying out of
fat, minerals and protein on the
surface. The skin holds steam in,
causing the milk to foam and
boil over. You can prevent the
skin formation by using a lid—or
stirring the milk, according to
Extension home economists at the
University of Georgia.
