Report From
Indian Springs
By Mrs. Robert W. Grier, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Byron Britt
spent last weekend in Buford
visiting friends and also
relatives in Lawrenceville.
Mrs. Andrew Waldrop’s
friends will be happy to know
she is improving each day.
The Frank McMichaels are
recovering from the flu. Mrs.
McMichael’s mother, Mrs. Gay
Pitts, now has the bug. We wish
you a speedy recovery.
This reporter and Mr.
Grier’s son, Barnard Webb
Grier, has been transferred
from Norfolk, Virginia to
Richmond, Va. to become the
Marketing Manager of Rich
mond’s Branch Office of Aetna
Life and Casualty Insurance
Cos.
Our sympathy goes to Mr.
and Mrs. Karl Dobereiner over
the loss of their son’s
dachshund. They were keeping
Penny while the son was
preparing to move into their
new home in Alabama. Mr.
Dobereiner was walking Penny
in the Park last Wednesday
when she slipped away from
him and into the highway
where a speeding car ran over
her and the driver did not stop.
It was a sad situation for the
Dobereiners to come home and
call their son and his wife to
report this news.
This reporter is enjoying the
beautiful Fairyland of snow in
more ways than one; after
having undergone surgery so
instead of the heavy crushed
ice Mr. Grier filled several
plastic bags with the soft snow
and they were replaced as they
melted.
Mr. Asa Maddox’s trip to
Florida the first of the week
has been cancelled until later
in the week because of the
snow.
Sorry, news is slim this week
- everyone is snowed in.
“A lawyer is one who de
fends you at the risk of
your pocketbook, reputa
tion and life.” (Eugene E.
Brussel!)
PERSONAL
Mrs. Mollie Padgett returned
January 30th to her home after
12 days in traction in Macon
hospital for a spine and back
condition under Dr. Ronald
Rhames, Dr. B. J. Stewart, Dr.
Walter Barnes and Dr.
Menendez whom she wishes to
thank for their services.
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Mabry
recently spent the day in
Decatur as the guest of his
sister, Mrs. Drew Suttles, and
Mr. Suttles of Decatur.
Friends of Mrs. N. O. York
regret to know she has been
confined to her bed the past
week suffering from the flu.
CARD OF THANKS
I’d like to say Thank You to
everyone who was so thought
ful and kind to Jake and me
while I was a patient at Sylvan
Grove Hospital and since I
have returned home. Special
thanks go to Dr. Howell and the
nurses for their services
rendered to me. Thanks for all
the prayers, visits, cards, and
flowers, and all the other kind
deeds. They meant so much
during our hours of need. -
Mrs. F. B. Mason.
