“Our Four
Relationships With God”
We have found that our first
three relationships with God
are: first condemnation, next
justification, and then sanctifi
cation. Our fourth relationship
with God is one of dedication.
In Romans 12:1-2 we find: “I
beseech you therefore, breth
ren, by the mercies of God, that
ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto
God, which is your reasonable
service. And be not conformed
to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing
of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of
God.”
The Scriptures tell us to
present our bodies “a living
sacrifice” -a living example
of Christ is mankind. We are
charged by the Word of God to
dedicate our bodies (every part
of our being) to the service and
glory of God. The Christian is
not to conform to the standards
of the world, but to be
transformed in his mind to the
standards of Christ: he is to be
changed from sin and self, to a
Christ-centered person.
“... Let us therefore cast off
the works of darkness and let
us put on the armour of light
(Romans 13:12).” Let us
“put ... on the Lord Jesus
Christ (Romans 13:14).” We
are to put on or receive, or
yield to the Holy Spirit and
dedicate our lives to His will.
“For the kingdom of God is not
meat and drink ; but righteous
ness, and peace, and joy in the
Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17).”
Our ultimate desire as a
Christian in this world is to live
a dedicated, Spirit-filled life.
Paul’s prayer for the Christ
ians at Rome is found in
Romans 15:13, “Now the God
of hope fill you with all joy and
peace in believing, that ye may
abound in hope, through the
power of the Holy Ghost.”

In spring time a young man’s
fancy turns to love, and a
young girl’s fancy usually
turns to thoughts and details of
a wedding.
If you are a prospective bride
or the family of a bride or
groom-to-be there are many
rules of etiquette and tradition
to remember and consider in
planning a wedding.
The University of Georgia
has a newly published booklet,
“Your Wedding Your Wonder
ful Day” to help you remember
what to do and when to do it.
This booklet is free for the
asking - just call or come by
the office.
Did you know that the groom
has the financial responsibility
of flowers for the bride, the
mothers and grandmothers
and all the men in the wedding
party? The bride pays the fees
for the sexton, organist and
soloist, but of course the groom
takes care of the clergyman’s
fee.
The invitations should be
mailed a month prior to the
wedding date, and they should
be addressed in black ink
rather than ballpoint pen to be
completely proper. There are
other important points to
remember on how to deal with
the inner envelope, etc. My
suggestion would be to read a
good book of etiquette before
starting on any of the wedding
plans.
If you have any special
problems I will be happy to
help you find the answers. Plan
ahead so you will be able to
relax and enjoy your wedding
day.

BUBBER JONES
ACES NO. 3
AT DEER TRAIL
Bubber Jones on March 4th
joined Butts County’s most
exclusive club - those who
have made holes-in-one at Deer
Trail Golf Club - when he
placed a seven iron shot ten
feet from the green on the 155
yard par 3 No. 3 and had the
ball roll into the cup on the
second bounce.
Mr. Jones said it was the first
hole-in-one he had ever made
and that since the pin was to
the rear of the green he could
not actually see the ball roll to
the cup and feared he had
rolled into the sand instead.
He was playing in a foursome
of Pee Wee Norsworthy, Ray
Thaxton and Bill Presley.

America is a land of bells!
Wedding bells, door bells, dinner bells, school bells, sleigh bells ... all speak of
a country where freedom from tyranny exists.
Chimes also keynote freedom of speech as commentators broadcast the news.
Typewriter bells png out freedom of the press. And church bells, whether they be the
musical chimes from a cathedral's spire, or the ding dong from the steeple of a village
chapel, typify freedom of religion.
Churches throughout the land are open to all. Inside their doors, we cast aside
worry that shackles our hearts in this atomic age. We find strength and courage to face
the unknown future. Our faith, hope and trust in God, who says, "Fear not; for I am
with thee," is renewed and peace fills our anxious souls.
Let us accept the invitation of the bells to "Come and worship," and go to church
regularly.
