pastor of the Pepperton Baptist
Church here for a number of
years.
S-Sgt. Walter Colwell arrived
Thursday to join his wife and
sons and to visit friends and
relatives in Jackson. They will
return to Tennessee on Sunday.

Any person caught dumping trash or
garbage on the right of way of any public

Jehovah's Witnesses Close
Semi-Annual Atlanta Meet
The second half of the
semi-annual circuit assembly
of Jehovah’s Witnesses closed
Sunday at the Henry Grady
High School Auditorium in N.
E. Atlanta. 3,987 from the
greater Atlanta area attended
the high point of the convention
during the past two week ends.
Charles Sinutko, Jr. from
Brooklyn, New York, was the
featured speaker. Sunday
afternoon he spoke on the
theme “Decide Now For
Divine Rulership.”
The speaker pointed out,
“Rulership is of worldwide
concern. Unquestionably the
universe reflects an intelligent
Creator with capabilities far
beyond ours. Since he runs the
whole universe, he must also
be its ruler. Even mighty
human rulers have been forced
to acknowledge the almighti
ness of God.”
Pointing out to his audience
the necessity of deciding for
Divine rulership, Sinutko fur
ther said, “To show that one
has truly decided for Divine
rulership, he must study God’s
word, the Bible, filling ones’
mind and heart with God’s
way. This involves the whole
range of one’s life, how we
walk each day.”
The speaker concluded, “The
benefits the Divine ruler
provides for true worshipers
will not be temporary. For
example, God will cause

day afternoon with the keynote
address, “Do All Things for
God’s Glory.” After delivering
this talk, Mr. Sinutko con
ducted a ministry training
program, which featured sev
eral local ministers. This was
followed by a discussion of
family relationships. Speakers
featured topics such as:
“Youths, Watch Your Associa
tions,” and “Parents, Train
Your Youths.” The Saturday
evening session consisted of
information to assist the
delegates in their ministry.
An outstanding feature of the
Assembly took place on Sunday
morning. Jack Ryals, Circuit
Minister, addressed the audi
ence with the benefits and
responsibilities connected with
dedication and baptism. This
preceded a mass baptism of
new ministers of Jehovah’s
Witnesses. The assembly pro
gram closed Sunday afternoon
with two Bible discourses.
Ryals spoke on: “Supply to
Your Faith Endurance,” and
Sinutko discussed the topic,
“We Shall Walk in the Name of
Jehovah Our God Forever.”

Calendar For Rabies Clinic
“Make A Date To Vaccinate” Rabies Clinic, sponsored by
Butts County 4-H Club, and directed by Dr William Mitchell is
scheduled for Saturday, May 5. The regular fee of three dollars for
anti-rabies vaccine will be charged for each animal
