actively engaged in the

License without an examina

powers contained in the deed
to secure debt executed by J.
W. Heath and Hazel Fincher
Heath to The Citizens and
Southern Bank of Jackson,
Jackson, Ga., dated Septem
ber 25, 1973 which said
security deed is recorded in
Deed Book 52, pages 54-56 in
the Office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Butts
County, Georgia, there will
be sold at public auction to
the highest bidder for cash at
the courthouse door of Butts
County, Georgia by the
undersigned, acting as attor
ney in fact for the said J. W.

Heath, between the hours of
ten o’clock A.M. and four

Said powers will be
exercised and the said land
will be sold as the property of
J. W. Heath and Hazel
Fincher Heath by the
undersigned as attorney in
fact for the purpose of paying
the indebtedness secured by
said deed, to wit, the
principal sum of $5,000.00
besides interest on the
outstanding balance at the
rale provided for in the notes
by said security deed, the

ning at the northern property
line of Glen Buckner, on the
east side of said road and
running to the southern edge
of the right of way of Jester
Road.
A map showing the above
described road sought to be
closed is on file in the Office
of the Board of Commission
ers of Butts County, Georgia,
and said map is by reference
incorporated herein for a
more particular description.
The only land owners
having lands abutting on the
roads above sought to be
closed are C. L. Ridgway,
Martha Garr Ridgway and
Jan Ridgway Maddox.
Said application will be
heard on July 1,1974, at 10:00
a.m. in the office of the
Board of Commissioners of

unless good cause is shown to

NEW BUSINESS OPENS One of Jackson’s new
est retail businesses is Sarah’s Odds and Ends which had its
official opening last Saturday, June Ist. It is located on the
lot north of Mackey’s Grocery. The store is owned and
operated by Mr. and Mrs. Bill McCullough and is open from
5:30 p.m. to 10:00 o’clock on weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to
8:00p.m. on Saturdays and from 8:00 a.m. until closing on
Sunday. Mrs. Sarah McCullough operates another odds and
ends shop on Highway 36 and also operates Sarah’s Bonding
Company. Her husband operates a gun shop. Mrs.
McCullough is presently a Justice of the Peace at

June 2nd in Tattnall Square
Baptist Church, Mercer
Campus. Macon. Receiving
special certificates from
Mercer Extension Depart
ment of Christian Education

Jackson and J. Harry
Ridgeway of Jackson.
Missionary sermon was by
Rev. James Wm. Waters,
pastor of Mabel White
Memorial Baptist Church.

hours of study at the Kimbell
Extension Center which was

88th birthday last Friday,
May 31st.
