SCOTT COLEMAN RECOGNIZED R. Scott Coleman of Jackson, one of Georgia’s outstanding artists,
was recognized for the exceptional quality of his watercolor paintings during the Powers’ Crossroads Country Fair
near Newnan, Georgia. This event held annually over the Labor Day weekend is reputed to be the world’s largest Arts
& Crafts Festival. Coleman, pictured at left, received a SIOO.OO cash award from J. Littleton Glover, Jr., Vice
President of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce and well known Newnan attorney.

This past weekend pro
vided a lot of excitement in
college football. Mississippi
State excited the Bulldogs
and that’s for sure! Dooley’s
Dogs will certainly need to
see a good veterinarian
before they take on the
Gamecocks. That Mississippi
team ran around Georgia’s
ends like men possessed. And
the quarterback situation?
I’ll predict that the Georgia
leader for this Saturday will
be a “recuperated soph, by
the name of Goff.”
Unfortunately, Tech found
no better luck than their arch
rival Dogs. Pittsburgh is
certainly one of the nation’s
more underrated teams.
And what about that
Maryland-Florida game!
Those Gators knew some
thing this reporter didn’t
they’ve got a whale of a team
down there in the Sunshine
State this year. In fact, if the

Tennessee and Alabama
both had relatively easy wins
over Kansas and Southern
Mississippi respectively. The
Auburn War Eagles found no
trouble in defeating Chatta

My predictions for the
weekend? Well, Georgia and
South Carolina will be a good
game, but I’m really afraid
that the Dogs will need more
than one week’s doctoring to
upend those neighbors of
ours. Georgia Tech and
Clemson will be an equally
close game with Tech
winning by a field goal.
Florida and Miss. State? I’m
predicting a Gator win by a
touchdown.
Here’s hoping we’ll all
have happier news next
week!

Calluses are nature’s way
of building up a protective
layer of skin to protect your
hands, or your feet. Calluses
ordinarily appear only after
repeated hard usage of the
hands in manual labor. In the
case of the feet calluses are
usually the result of poor
fitting shoes, or from
extensive walking without
shoes.
A callus may be worri
some, but never, never
attempt to cut the callus
away with a sharp instru
ment. Only a doctor is
qualified to remove calluses
when minor surgery is
required. Actually, surgery
is usually not necessary.
Softening creams and special
medications are available to
soften calluses and bring
about a return to a normal
skin condition.
We can serve all of your

MONZA 2*2 The small car of tomorrow will
probably be a little more powerful, handy and
comfortable than ever. The 1975 Monia 2+2,

fold-down rear seat, and anew 4.3-litre V 8

and wide-back reclining front seats. For 1975,
all Novas have been emphatically refined along
the lines of elegant European sedans. Nova’s
always been good. Now it’s beautiful.

CHEVROLET’S NEW
EFFICIENCY SYSTEM
FOR 1975 lt' s the key part of a program
aimed at helping our new cars run leaner
(more economically), run cleaner—and save
you money every mile.
The Efficiency System is standard on atl
1975 Chevrolets with VS or 6-cylinder engines.
It s a series of significant engineering improve
ments working together tor the very first rime.
Components include High Energy Ignition,
catalytic converter. Early Fuel Evaporation and
steel-helted radial ply tires. In sum. the System
is designed to heighten the pleasure and lower
the cost of driving a 1975 Chevrolet—to bring
you a better tunning car in many ways v along
with improved fuel economy, more miles
between recommended maintenance and an
engine that stays cleaner internally because of
no-lead fuel.
Your Chevrolet dealer will gladly give you
the details and answer your questions. See him
and the sensible Chevrolets starting
September 27.
