How To Hang On
To A Good Husband
While almost every wife
wants to keep her husband, not
all know how or how to keep
him happy. Here are some
hints that may help!
1. Avoid too much together
ness. Respect, don't deplore,
the different interests which
give each of you individuality
and lend spice to a marriage. If
necessary, go yoifr separate
ways of an evening. Does he
read the paper at breakfast?
Let him; a few “conversation
breakfasts” may convince you
that you were both better off
staring at the headlines.
2. Bea homemaker not a
housewife. Both you and your
home will be more gracious if
you learn the fine arts of
running it flower arranging,
gourmet cooking. Streamline
your housekeeping to make
time for these finer things.
3. Return to romance. Re
member your courtship days
. . . the way you hung on his
every word . . . dressed up just
for him ... it worked then, it
may again. Get away from the
housework and the children for
a weekend of just the two of
you. At a Holiday Inn you can
relax, enjoy the pool, the many
restaurants, your comfortable
room and each other remind
him you’re really a woman as
well as a wife!
4. Be prepared for emergen
cies. Extra cans of stew on the
shelf and a cake in the freezer
can serve to save you when
supper burns or unexpected
dinner guests arrive. Learn how
to do simple home repairs and
first aid yourself.
While this won’t guarantee a
return of your honeymoon, it
may help insure that you’ll
have a man around the house!
