DECEMBER
In lovely December
each bright glowing ember
reminds us of holidays!
Our friends all are jolly,
our halls decked with holly
bring memories of yesterdays!
In happy December
each low dying ember
reminds us of giving praise!
So Christmas is merry
our families are cheery
with candles, alight and ablaze!

WENT CAROLING
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
On Wednesday night the
Key Club and the Co-Ed-Y
Club went Christmas carol
ing to several houses around
town. In spite of riding in the
back of a truck on such a cold
night the Clubs enjoyed
bringing Christmas cheer to
some senior citizens.
After caroling, the group
met at Mrs. Ben Wright’s
house for refreshments.

Why celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of the next? It seems a strange custom vet there is a good
reason for it.
Few, if any of us, have come even close to perfection in the year iust ending. So we look ahead toward 365 brand
new days, blank pages in the next chapter of ovr lives.
What will we do with them? On the eve of a New Year, most of us certainly have the desire to try harder, to be
better people.
But even while we are saying. Off with the old and on with the new," we ore also clinging to the good in the days
gone by. As we renew old friendships, we thank God for those friends for the Faith he has given us, for life itself
And, in the midst of revelry, we stort the year the best way of all: We go to church
