Exodus 20:15 Thou shalt
not steal.
Today many are having a
hard time making ends meet.
Some have taken on extra
work and are doing without a
lot of things they need in
order to get by, while others,
sad to say, have turned to
theft; when caught, their
excuse is times are hard,
money is short, we’re
running short and doing
without, so we steal to get
what we want while the
victim loses all the way
around. The federal law
protects the criminal, while
he says we can’t protect
ourselves against these cri
minals.
But God’s word says if
the good man would have
known in what hour the thief
would come he would have
watched and not suffered his
house being robbed or broken
into.
Matthew 24:43. Jesus also
said unto Peter ....
put thy sword into his
place .... he did not
say throw it away or give it to
the government. But I think,
he meant you may need it for
protection. Notice in 43
again: For all they that take
the sword shall perish with
the sword. I don’t think he
meant the thief will commit
suicide. Poor is the nation
which will not protect his
own; so poor is the man who
will not protect his own or
provide for his household,
not by stealing. Genesis 3:19.
In the sweat of thy face shalt
thou eat bread .... a
workman is worthy of his
hire, so the thief should be
worthy of his punishment.
“Amen.”
Exodus 20:14. Thou shalt
not commit adultery. I
believe it is wrong to commit
adultery; you would quickly
agree with me. But, Jesus
said he that looketh on a
woman to lust after her hath
committed adultery already
in his heart. And if we would
take a quick check around us
in Jackson, look at some
facts and statistics, we would
think it like Sodom and
Gomorrah. Listen, friends,
the devil is on the rampage
today devouring whom he
will. Please turn to Jesus, not
theft or your neighbor’s wife,
or booze. Jesus can help you
in any problem you have.
Jesus came to set the captive
free. Are you free?
